About Us
Prison Invasion ministry, inc.
Prison Invasion Ministry, Inc. (PIM) is a non-profit organization comprised of Christian men and women who have dedicated a portion of their lives to sharing the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST with prisoners in the state of Oklahoma.
Vision Statement
The members of Prison Invasion Ministry are focused on two areas: evangelism and discipleship. First and foremost is evangelism through the sharing of the Gospel message. We also teach that once a person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, he/she should live a righteous life and be obedient to the example and commands of Jesus Christ. To that end, inmates are encouraged to faithfully read and study the Word of God.
Statement of Faith
PIM is a non-denominational ministry whose members are united in their belief that only through a saving knowledge of the Son of God can a man or woman enter the Kingdom of Heaven. They believe in the deity of Christ as the Son of God, sent to earth in human form by being born of a virgin to redeem those, by faith, in His death on the Cross and subsequent resurrection three days later. Members further believe that they are not saved by works or efforts of our own, but solely by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
The WORD OF GOD is upheld as faithful, true, correct, without error, and is sufficient for training in righteousness. Our involvement in this ministry is nothing more than an act of obedience to Christ's command: "He said to them, 'Go into the world and preach the good news to all creation.'" Mark 16:15 (NIV)
In the same way, we believe that baptism is the first act of obedience following salvation and is a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The members of the Prison Invasion Ministry (PIM) are focused on the two areas of evangelism and discipleship. First and foremost, evangelism through the sharing of the Gospel message: "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" Romans 10:9-10. Secondly, teaching that once a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, he or she should desire to live a righteous life in the eyes of God, obedient to the example and commands of Jesus Christ. To that end, inmates are encouraged to faithfully and frequently study and read the Word of God.
Our Story
The founder of Prison Invasion Ministry, Lonnie Foster, found his calling in the early 80s when he was injured in a car crash and diagnosed as a vegetable. Six weeks later, he came out of his coma, and through his faith and physical rehabilitation recovered fully and has never looked back. In 1986, he was ordained and gave his life to full-time service to the Lord. The Lord led him to believe that the "reformation" of an inmate can only be done by God. Lonnie passed away in February 2022 and now lives with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The ministry of PIM continues.
Prison Invasion Ministry, Inc. began at Dick Conner Conner Correctional Center in 1987. Since then, the Lord has opened many prison doors and allowed the ministry to reach out to a great number of inmates. The ministry also enters Northeast Correctional Center in Vinita, Oklahoma. The members who participate with PIM have been encouraged over the years as we have ministered to many men who are incarcerated; watching them grow and mature spiritually. There are even former inmates who, following their release, joined the ministry.
