Invaders

Invaders should be able to present the Gospel in a clear manner (experienced mentors provided). Invaders should also be good listeners and have a desire to encourage or counsel offenders as the opportunity arises. Invaders enter the prison's general population for the purpose of evangelism. Much of our work is encouraging Christian offenders on their walks, and arranging Bibles and/or Bible-study course materials. It is not uncommon for offenders to give professions of faith during one of our visits. The ministry's need for volunteers is rarely met completely. Please pray about serving with us to shine the light of Jesus Christ in a dark place.

  • Teams of up to 10 to 20 Invaders go into Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy, OK on the third Saturday of each month from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. After the team gathers at the prison, they will be split up into teams of two or three to visit various areas throughout the prison.
  • Smaller Invasion teams also enter the Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center in Vinita, OK on the first Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. This invasion culminates in a chapel service from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.
  • With rare exception, Invaders are greeted with friendliness and respect from guards and offenders alike due to our regular presence within the prisons. Conversations come easily and will often come to you.
